Bill W1UUQ, Matt W6KGB, Rod KA6GSU and myself made a trip to Santa Ynez today to reinstall the COT Controller in WB6TZE. The gods were smiling as the installation went smoothly and the weather was perfect. WB6TZE (Frequency and Tone on Members Only Pages) is working with a single link to Thousand Oaks using temporary antennas. There is some de-sense at TO caused by the Link-4 transmitter interfering with the Link-1 receiver.

As you will recall, last December we moved the radio from the American Tower build to a cheaper building only a few hundred feet away. The owners of our new location required Liability insurance and that took all summer to get in place at a reasonable price.

Even though the Santa Ynez antennas are temporary, they are performing well! The radio is on line through Thousand Oaks to Cactus most of the time, give it a try!

In 2 weeks, weather willing, we are planning to install the permanent antennas. The trip is planned for Saturday 13 January. I will be sending a separate email next week soliciting help installing the antennas and installation clean-up.
